The term ‘website design’ conjures different meanings for different people. To us ‘website design’ is about blending a number of important elements into one cohesive presentation.

A website’s appearance is obviously an important factor and creating unique designs is something we take pride in, however, design is only one element. Functionality, ease of use, and presentation of information are in some ways more important than appearance. A visitor is more likely to spend time on your site if the navigation is simple and the information readily available. Far too many designers get caught up in fancy Flash websites which do not actually create a good user experience.

Just because a new effect or tool is available doesn't necessarily mean it will suit your website. We will only use a tool or piece of functionality if it suits your requirements and if it will enhance the user experience. Just because Flash can create sexy transitions and funky animations doesn't equate to a usable website (let alone a site that is visible in search engine results).
